New innovation facility in Orlando’s Lake Nona Medical City to be renamed “GuideWell UST Global Innovation Center”

ORLANDO, Fla. GuideWell Innovation announced today a multi-year joint strategic relationship with UST Global with the intent to deliver transformative, innovative health solutions within the soon-to-open innovation facility in Orlando’s Lake Nona Medical City. As a result of this groundbreaking partnership, the previously announced GuideWell Innovation Center will officially be renamed the “GuideWell UST Global Innovation Center.”

UST Global is an Aliso Viejo, Calif., based leading digital services company for Global 1000 enterprises. A leader in healthcare technology services, UST Global expertise addresses specific requirements of managed health care, healthcare payers, providers, and the life science sector-from eligibility, membership, and claims systems to healthcare informatics and medical risk management systems.

The GuideWell UST Global Innovation Center will be anchored by the GuideWell Innovation CoRETM (Collaborative Resource Ecosystem) located on the entire first floor of the building. The CoRE is designed to foster and accelerate health innovation. Entrepreneurs, research and development experts and health care’s biggest players will come together and collaborate at the CoRE to create and commercialize next-generation solutions to transform the health system.

UST Global is expected to serve as the solutions development partner for GuideWell Innovation CoRE and will lead a Center of Excellence focused on Next Generation Consumer Engagement. By leveraging consumer analytics, behavioral motivation theory and social affinity connectivity, UST Global will help drive the strategic agenda to create leading-edge innovations for helping consumers better manage their health through social, local and mobile platforms.

“UST Global will play an integral role in our mission of transforming the health industry by rapidly accelerating health innovation,” said Renee Finley, head of GuideWell Innovation. “With their leading human centered design capability, we will create and commercialize consumer-centric solutions that motivate individuals to take control of their own health.”

“UST Global’s fierce ambition to make technology innovation accessible to all has resulted in this strategic partnership around health innovation, which is not limited to consuming technology but also creating cutting edge solutions,” said Sajan Pillai, CEO of UST Global. “At the center, entrepreneurs will have access to resources that will help them challenge current limitations in delivering quality healthcare. UST Global will bring these technologies to market faster and play an instrumental role in turning great ideas to even better functioning products.”

GuideWell Innovation CoRE, located at the GuideWell UST Global Innovation Center, will officially open its doors on March 15, 2016.
